Please Do Now:

  1. Read the following story about King Arthur and answer the questions at the end in your notebook.
  2. Explain the significance of the following cartoon:

Today, students will:

  1. Divide into Second Quarter Groups by assigned story.
  2. Read the following stories individually and answer questions individually: Anglo Saxons, Charlemagne, Vikings, Norman Conquest, Islam.
  3. Storyboard in groups what written and visual elements (maps, artwork, etc) you will need to create a PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 15 slides.
  4. Decide what additional information you will need to supplement what is in your group’s story.
  5. Go to the library to gather information and visual elements for group presentations.
  6. Assign individual slides to individual group members.

Tonight’s homework is:

  1. Prepare your individual slides for group assembly on Tuesday.  Make sure everything is uploaded on your blog by midnight!  If there is a disaster and you can’t upload, email me and bring in all of your work on a flash drive.
  2. Eat turkey.
