- Learn about the origins of philisophy by reading the first three chapters of Sophie’s World.
- React to the quote: “The only thing we require to be good philosophers is the the faculty of wonder.”
Tonight’s homework is:
- Read pages 28-55 of Sophie’s World.
- Discuss how Sophie struggles with the three questions: Is there a basic structure that everything else is made of? Can water turn into wine? How can earth and water produce a live frog? What do these questions teach her about philosophy? Submit your response as a comment to this post.
- Read pages 106-112 of the textbook. Answer questions 1, 2 and 4 and post your response to your own blog.
