Test Friday!

THIS FRIDAY YOU WILL HAVE YOUR FIRST TEST OF THE SECOND NINE WEEKS.  WE WILL HAVE A REVIEW ON WEDNESDAY – MOST OF THE MATERIAL COVERED HAS TO DO WITH THE GREEKS AND ROMANS.

Please Do Now:

1. Make a Venn Diagram showing the similarities and differences between Indo-European and Semitic Cultures. (Blank Venn)
2. Include information such as their sense of time, their most important senses, their view of how the universe works, examples of the different cultures, etc.

Today, students will:

1. Compare and contrast Indo-European and Semitic cultures (LA.A.2.2.7)
2. Learn the history of the early Roman Empire (Pax Romana)(SS.A.1.4)
3. Learn basic facts about Julio-Claudian, Flavian and the Five Good Emperors (LA.A.2.4.1)

Tonight’s homework is:

1. Using the Venn Diagram we made in class today, comment on the short essays of your  peer editing groups using the comment form.
2. Read pp168-171.  Answer questions 1 and 4 on your blogs.
3. Read pp 172-177.  Answer questions 1 and 4 on your blogs.
